Remove only those cookies that put your privacy in risk

Cookies are small text files saved in your web browser that store information you often use on websites, such as session logins, user preferences, or the content of a shopping cart. However there are also cookies that can be used to track your online movement – something you may not feel particularly happy about.

Cookienator enables you to remove these tracking cookies and therefore keep your online privacy safe from major search engines, ad platforms and other web business based on data tracking. It doesn't require installation and works with cookies stored by Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Flash. Also, Cookienator can be configured to delete tracking cookies automatically and includes a customizable list with the most important sites.

Unlike other cookie cleaners, Cookienator only gets rid those cookies that are created to track your online activities. This means you can keep cookies that are actually useful and do not mean any risk to you or your system.

Cookienator lets you remove tracking cookies from your web browser, while leaving harmless ones untouched.

Cookienator and Firefox. I ran Cookienator for the first time and I showed I had many cookies and flash cookies (over 100) that I didn't know I had on my system and I had Cookienator remove them. However Cookienator didn't name the cookies, it just showed the number of cookies it found and removed them. Then when I opened Firefox tools and looked at the cookies options and I discovered Firefox had many advertising or other undesirable cookies listed that I thought were supposed to be removed by Cookienator. I am now skeptical about the ability of Cookienator to actually remove undesired cookies. A better option in my opinion for Firefox, would be to get the add-on that removes LSO or flash cookies when exiting Firefox. Regular cookies must still be manually removed.

Needs to be compatable with Windows 7. I think the program is great and works well. I even received a comment from my boyfriend; who never comments on how great any programs I install on his computer are. That's a feat and Cookienator won. Pros: Easy to useEasy to installEasy to uninstall if need beSmall footprint to the system Cons: NOT compatable with Windows 7 ( maybe 32-bit definitely NOT 64-bit).

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
